Napa County has five auto shops certified as Green Businesses. The county has been reaching out to professional associations to encourage other businesses to join. Wineries and agricultural businesses have also been contacted to assess their interest in the program. As interest grows, the county plans to expand the Green Business Program to include these other industries.

The county currently maintains its own facilities as green businesses. It also intends to continue to explore other `green’ ideas such as using recycled materials in construction, demolishing structures in a manner that allows recycling/reuse of materials and goods, and retrofitting existing structures to improve resource efficiencies.
