Solano County launched its pilot Green Business Program on July 1, 2007. The program is currently working with CUPA-related businesses, primarily auto/engine repair shops, in all Solano County jurisdictions. CUPA-related businesses are those that generate 55 gallons or more of hazardous waste and are then subject to submit a Hazardous Materials Business Plan to the County of Solano and pay all related fees.

The program is expected to expand to non-CUPA businesses on July 1, 2008, pending Board of Supervisors approval.
